Well, we've jumped from part 6 to part 8, and that's because last week I invited another of our
Legacy Church pastors to preach. He shared the message "Deeper" from
Matthew 9:1-8 in which Jesus is healing not just for a person's health, but for their holiness. Jesus made a paralytic to walk and said "your sins are forgiven." This in itself causes me to want to revisit the idea of how God seeks our happiness,
but never at the expense of His or our holiness. I'll come back to that on another day.
This week, we're in
Matthew 14:13-21 and we find Jesus performing his most well-known miracle (other that His resurrection). He takes the meal of bread and fish intended for one, and feeds many thousands of people, and I believe He did this miracle in order to teach His disciples something about Himself and about themselves.
